Transportation

Shared-Ride Program for Older Adults

Residents who are over the age of 65 are eligible for a reduced fare for all trips, whether they are traveling to medical or non-medical destinations. Many riders use this to shop, visit, or travel to work. To take advantage of this great service, you must present proof of age to ACTS and complete a simple application form. Once you are approved, the Pennsylvania Lottery will pay 85% of the cost of you trip while yourself or a sponsoring agency such as Challenges/Options on Aging or the Human Services Development Fund will pay the remaining 15%.
