Through Community Connections Initiative, LCSS is contracted to serve clients designated as TANF recipients who currently are doing the minimum they need to stay eligible for cash assistance, and are not making good choices about the amount and type of work activities they are choosing. The goal of this initiative is to clearly define for the client the options and requirements associated with the TANF time limits, therefore necessitating a connection for these clients through opportunities available within an approved employment and training activity and/or a plan for remediation of a barrier to self-sufficiency.
