Lawrence County Social Services, Inc. is the project sponsor of SCSEP (Senior Community Services Employment Program) through Senior Service America, Inc. This program, known as the Senior Employment Program, offers part-time employment opportunities in community service activities for low-income individuals’ age 55+ who have poor employment prospects. The Senior Employment Program currently operates in Lawrence, Mercer and Beaver County.

General Services Provided:
• Provides participants the opportunity to learn job skills, earn money and help their community.
• Encourages mature workers to expand their job skills through computer training and other relevant courses.
• Intended to assist older workers by increasing opportunities for unsubsidized employment.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Target population: must be age 55 or older, low income, and unemployed.
