Early Learning Task Force (ELTF)

The Community Engagement Group, coordinated by LCCAP, concentrates efforts to educate the community about the critical importance of providing quality early learning opportunities for all children during their most formative years of birth to age 3, continuing through grade four. The ELTF coordinates efforts between school districts and early learning practitioners regarding the transitioning of children from pre-k to kindergarten. Professional development opportunities for employers to contribute education for parents to the early learning of children and ways employers can support their employees with early care and education decisions for their children, about the Keystone STARS rating system and the direct correlation between a Keystone STARS provider and quality early learning experiences, and the impact and opportunities of business to support early learning efforts within the community. A child who learns early in a quality environment will, eventually, in years to come, be a positive contributor to the community through educational and civic leadership.
